  • To evaluate your compatibility for a Doctoral degree several criteria must be satisfied: English speaking skills, independent-thinking, a passion for conducting research and working with students, persistence and consistency, and the formulation of a novel research question that will become the central focus of your doctoral studies.

  • Most, if not all, Doctoral programs provide students with stipends, which are forms of compensation for conducting research and teaching undergraduate or Master’s students. Additionally, universities provide financial opportunities like teaching and graduate research assistantships that can support your doctoral studies. Other financial opportunities are available via funding and international research grants.

  • Yes, all Bachelor and Master’s Degrees granted by Albanian academic institutions and recognized by the Albanian Ministry of Education are valid towards your international Doctoral Degree.

  • While not all, most Doctoral programs, particularly those in Ivy League and highly competitive universities require a GRE or GMAT score as part of their application requirements.

  • TOEFL test scores are required for candidates whose first language is not English and whose studies (Bachelor or Master) have been conducted in languages other than English. Preferred TOEFL performance varies across programs and universities.

  • Depending on the country, university, and study program, the time required to complete a Doctorate degree ranges from 3 to 6 years or more.

  • This requirement varies by country and university. In Canada, the US and the UK, students may be admitted without a Master’s degree. However, in most European countries a Master's degree is required to enter a Ph.D. program.
